Palo Alto, CA: XTRM Sports Network, the fastest growing online and offline action sports network, partners with AMA Pro Racing to bring you the 2009 Supermoto Championship Series and the 2009 Amateur National Championship Series. New this year, the series will feature both pro and amateur competitions to see who will end up on top at the end of these high action series. Both the Pro and Amateur series will kick off March 20 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA – ending September 20 at Mammoth Mountain, CA. This season promises to be an exciting challenge for all competitors in a brutal battle for the ultimate Supermoto champion. The 2009 XTRM AMA Pro Racing Supermoto National Championship features the Yamaha, Honda, Aprilia, and KTM factory supported Supermoto teams as well as a host of new and existing teams and racing stars competing for top honors in the Premier 450 Supermoto class, the Unlimited Supermoto class, and the 250 Supermoto Lites class. The addition of the amateur events on Saturdays encourages manufacturers and sponsors to gain additional bang for the promotional buck through the powerful XTRM Sports Network platform. XTRM efficiently manages the complete process from online registration and live timing and scoring to credentials, sponsorship and contingency programs.
The XTRM team is excited about the variety of venues and the inclusion of the amateur racers this season. “We are looking to truly ramp up the popularity and exposure of this unique discipline. The teams and sponsors have been very supportive as we take the reins of Supermoto” says Joe Lynam, CEO of XTRM.
